I'm a make-up artist and decided to do a full face using Temu dupes as I heard it's so cheap - here's how it went
IT'S been dubbed the new Shein.
And just like its competitor, Temu has a huge selection of make-up products - with many of them dupes of higher-end originals.
Make-up artist Ashlee Day was inundated with requests to try out the dupes, and took to TikTok to share the results.
"I don't think I've ever had a more requested video than doing a full face of Temu make-up," she began.

"I went online and I bought pretty much all the products that I already owned the originals to compare them."
She began by applying her own base, admitting she didn't want to put the dupes directly onto her skin, before applying a dupe for the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.

"It feels very, very similar, and it smells the same too," she said.
Once she'd applied it, she noted that the dupe wasn't as glossy as the original.
Next she tried the dupe for the Elf Power Grip Primer.
"If you've been following me for a long time you'll know that the Elf Power Grip is my fave primer," she said.

"It does feel really nice on the skin, I'm not going to lie, but I think I would just go with the original because it's the OG and I think the rip off with the packaging is really annoying me.
"And I think you'll find that's a very common theme in this video because everything they've 'duped' is literally identical."
Ashlee then moved onto the concealer dupes - versions of It Cosmetics' Bye Bye Undereye and the viral Nars one.
Admitting the former did little to get rid of the circles under her eyes, she went on to reveal that the Nars dupe was much better - giving full coverage with a nice finish.
Next was the dupe of the Charlotte Tilbury contour wand, which she said blended out really well and left her with a good colour, before adding the dupes of the Charlotte Tilbury blusher and highlighter.
"The formula looks nice, it blended well - I actually like the blush and highlighter," she said.
Rare Beauty's blusher was tried then, with Ashlee admitting that she preferred the original, as well as the Fenty Beauty cream blush which she didn't try as she didn't like the colour.
It was then time for powder, which Ashlee didn't have much success with as it started to split and cling to the other products on her face.
"How is this legal?" she wondered as she held up the dupe of Maybelline's Fit Me powder, which was "gigantic" compared to the original - mainly because it actually had two powders and a powder puff inside.
Ashlee went onto try a dupe of Essence's mattifying powder and Nars blusher.
"For me, you just don't know what's in these products," she said. "So I'm having a hard time trying to enjoy them."
She'd bought a dupe of the iconic Naked eyeshadow palette but admitted she wouldn't be using it as there was nothing on the website telling her about the ingredients.
An Essence mascara dupe was next, but barely did anything to Ashlee's lashes, followed by some lip pencils which she didn't think much of.
"This last one hurt my soul a little bit," she said, referring to the dupe of NYX Cosmetic's Fat Lip Oil.
"It is nice but it's not the original so stick to the original."

Concluding her video she said: "Personally I wouldn't buy make-up products from this brand again.
"If they put ingredients lists up I would feel better. Just be careful with what you're buying."
